Position

The Domus Sessoriana boasts an ancient and authentic tradition of hospitality, it is the sole structure in the world to have been built inside an imperial roman residence transformed into a Basilica in subsequent years and only recently elevated to a Cistercian Abbey.

It is a truly oasis of peace situated in the heart of Rome, more precisely within the mystic walls of the ancient Cistercian's monastery of Saint Cross in Jerusalem, not far from the Claudian aqueduct, few steps from the basilica of Saint John in Lateran, 15 minutes walk fom the Coliseum, the Roman Forum and greatest cultural attractions of the eternal city.

Rooms

The Domus hosts 65 rooms of different sizes and types: singles, doubles, multiples (3/4 beds), junior suites, suites; our rooms are finely set up with mohagony craftmanship furnishing, tile floors, quicklime painted walls, wrought iron beds and equipped with the best comforts: bathroom with shower and hairdryer – air conditioning – disable facilities – satellite tv - refrigerator – safe - direct line - safe.
All rooms are non smoking.

Restaurant

The breakfast is served in the antique Refectory from 7:00 am to 10:00 am.
From the gorgeous and breathtaking rooftop of the Domus Sessoriana the guests can enjoy the wonderful view which dominates the Basilica of Saint John in Lateran, the monastic gardens of Saint Cross in Jerusalem and the stunning roofs and domes of Rome, on the sunniest and clearest days the Roman Castles with the beautiful countryside may also be seen very clearly.
